Patient-reported treatment outcomes
The cited studies evaluated health-related quality of life alongside other clinical outcomes. In the PRIMA trial, HRQOL was assessed by age subgroup in patients with newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer receiving niraparib first-line maintenance therapy; safety was also evaluated according to fixed or individualized starting dose (PMID 38833992). In the KLASS-04 multicenter randomized trial, quality of life was assessed for 3 years after laparoscopic pylorus-preserving versus distal gastrectomy in patients with cT1N0M0 early gastric cancer (PMID 39219553). In the PAPILLON trial, patient-reported outcomes and time to symptomatic progression were evaluated in treatment-naΓ―ve patients with advanced or metastatic EGFR exon 20 insertion-mutated NSCLC receiving amivantamab plus chemotherapy or chemotherapy alone (PMID 41671629).

Diabetes technology and daily burden
Several studies link diabetes technology or psychosocial factors to quality of life and self-management. Among young people with type 1 diabetes, higher satisfaction with continuous glucose monitoring was associated with quality of life regardless of metabolic control or treatment regimen, using KINDL and CGM-SAT questionnaires (PMID 38383984). Adolescents using the CamAPS HX fully closed-loop system reported less effort because carbohydrate counting and meal bolusing were no longer required, with perceived benefits for freedom, meals, sleep, physical activity, work, and social life (PMID 41478508). In adults with type 2 diabetes, the ACCORD health-related quality-of-life study examined depressive symptoms together with HbA1c, blood pressure, lipid levels, and medication regimens over 4 years (PMID 40226732).

Rehabilitation and psychosocial support
The abstracts describe exercise, rehabilitation, and an online group intervention addressing physical and psychological outcomes. A randomized study found that line dancing in people with multiple sclerosis improved balance, anxiety status, and health-related quality of life; between-group differences were found in balance, anxiety, and the mental-health composite of the MSQoL-54 (PMID 38466080). In obstructive sleep apnea, a prospective study of individuals with sleep-disordered breathing who had received continuous positive airway pressure for at least 4 weeks found a statistically significant negative correlation between the Apnea Hypopnea Index and reductions in 6-minute walk distance, energy, and general health. Participants then completed a 20-session rehabilitation program involving resistance and endurance exercises, dietary guidance, and counseling, after which all eight health-related quality-of-life domains, the 6-minute walk distance, the Epworth Sleepiness Scale, and body mass index improved (PMID 38713164). People with spinal cord injury described an online group intervention in terms of longing for connection, education and participation, common experiences, connection to program content, and continued contemplation of posttraumatic growth and meaning and purpose (PMID 39164999).

Symptoms, function, and survivorship
In chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, a post-hoc analysis of the SINUS-24/52 studies examined associations between moderate or severe smell loss and nasal polyp score, nasal congestion, Lund-Mackay CT score, rhinosinusitis severity, and SNOT-22 scores, and evaluated dupilumab efficacy (PMID 39300794). A cross-sectional mixed-methods study of young adults up to five years after CAR-T therapy explored sexual health and patient-provider sexual-health communication (PMID 39527302). For malignant fungating wounds, a retrospective study evaluated radiotherapy treatment goals including reduction of pain and tumor mass, cessation of bleeding, and improvement of wound condition; these wounds negatively affect patientsβ quality of life (PMID 40794189).
